About the Role
We are urgently seeking a senior Full Stack AI Developer to join our client’s IT team on a long-term freelance basis. This is not a conventional development role — we need someone deeply passionate about AI, with strong experience building intelligent automation systems, full-stack applications, and scalable infrastructure.
You’ll also mentor a small group of junior developers (“vibe coders”) who use AI tools to accelerate delivery. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping how AI is integrated across our clients’ platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack web applications for SaaS and marketplace environments.
Build and integrate AI-driven features (automation, dashboards, virtual assistants).
Write clean, scalable, and modular code across the stack.
Utilise AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Chatgpt) to boost productivity.
Mentor junior developers and guide AI-enhanced coding practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design architecture and solutions.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: 5–10+ years in full-stack development (preferably with pre-generative AI foundations).
AI Expertise: Demonstrable experience building AI-powered systems or tools.
Proficient with modern frameworks and languages (Node.js, Python, React, etc.).
Strong understanding of AI augmentation tools and APIs (GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, etc.).
Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
Proven leadership or mentoring experience with developers, ideally in AI contexts.

Essential Logistics
Location Requirement: Must be based in the Netherlands.
Work Mode: Hybrid – must work onsite in Nieuwegein every Monday, remote rest of the week.
Contract Type: Freelance only (No permanent or visa sponsorship options).
Hours: 40+ hours per week.
Time Tracking: Mandatory via Hubstaff.
