About our client
Our client is an ambitious family business with over 70 employees. As a supplier, they provide both large and small single-piece and serial products to various sectors, including the hydraulic industry, oil and gas industry, automotive, and general mechanical engineering. It is a flat organization with short communication lines, where even the director is often found on the work floor!

What will you do?
As a CNC Miller/Programmer, you will work in a two-shift system and have great freedom in executing your tasks. You will determine your tool selection, machining sequence, and clamping methods, and write your own programs. No order is the same for our client. You will work with products ranging from 100mm to 10 meters in size. You will manufacture high-quality complex parts in single pieces and small series of up to five pieces, where tolerances of 0.01/0.02 are standard. The main challenge lies in determining the clamping methods and feasibility of the workpieces.

Our client has two departments referred to as the Heidenhain and Fanuc departments. The Heidenhain department operates Sachman, Zayer, and FPT 4-axis milling machines (6 units). Here, you independently program the machine using Heidenhain controls. The Fanuc department operates Niigata machines (6 units) that also allow for 4-axis simultaneous milling. The preference here is for you to program independently using the Edgecam CAD/CAM package, or be willing to learn it. The interview will determine which department suits you best.

Your tasks as a CNC Miller/Programmer include:

  • Independently programming from drawings using Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Edgecam;
  • Determining machining sequence and clamping methods;
  • Selecting tools and contributing to an efficient production process;
  • Monitoring quality and product requirements using auxiliary tools.
