HR and Finance Officer Position Summary:
The HR and Finance Officer is a unique hybrid role that combines traditional HR functions with the specific challenge of navigating government bureaucracy on behalf of a media organisation with theaccurate and timely management of all financial processes. You will be the key point of contact for all staff matters and for ensuring our legal and operational compliance in Romania, while runninga multi-currency payroll for a team of employees and a global network of freelance correspondents and analysts.The HR and Finance Officer position will split as the company grows, and an evident need for two specific positions will be revealed.Key Responsibilities:- Manage the entire employee lifecycle for our diverse team: onboarding, contracts, benefits administration, and offboarding.
- Act as the primary liaison with Romanian government bodies for matters including residency permits, work visas, labour law compliance, and corporate registration.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with both Romanian law and the unique needs of a 24/7 news organisation.
- Serve as a trusted confidant and resource for staff, addressing questions related to employment, benefits, and local regulations.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential personnel records and ensure all mandatory government filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex immigration or regulatory issues.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and issuing payments to a global network of freelance contributors in various currencies.
- Prepare and submit all mandatory financial reports, VAT returns, and annual statements to the Romanian authorities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial records using advanced accounting software.
- 3–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or government relations role, ideally within an international company, and 2–3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or payroll role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in media, international trade, or NGOs
- In-depth knowledge of Romanian labour law, immigration procedures, and social security systems and knowledge of Romanian payroll legislation, tax code, and financial reporting requirements
- Full professional fluency in English and Romanian (written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is a highly desirable asset.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes.
- High degree of discretion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when handling staff matters.
- Full time permanent employment contract (on-site)
- Salary starting with 12,000 RON (2800 USD), depending on experience

Electrical Wind Turbine Technician (Germany)
Location: Germany (onshore wind farms)
Job Type: Full-time, rotation-based
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Electrical Wind Turbine Technician to support onshore wind farms across Germany.
You will work mainly on GE turbines (80–85% of fleet), performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
This position is ideal for skilled professionals with hands-on experience in converters, blade angle alignment, and 400V motor grid connections.
All travel, accommodation, and rotations are fully organised and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GE wind turbines (occasional Enercon work).
Conduct converter work, blade pitch/angle alignment, and 400V motor grid connections.
Diagnose and repair electrical and control system faults; assist with mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Perform inspections, component replacements, and electrical testing.
Work safely on low- and high-voltage systems, adhering to all HSE standards.
Record maintenance activities accurately in the company and OEM systems.
Requirements
Direct experience with converters, blade angle alignment, and 400V motor-to-grid connections (mandatory).
Proven background as a Wind Turbine Technician – GE platform experience strongly preferred.
Relevant technical/electrical qualification (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electrician, Mechatronics).
Willingness to travel across Germany and work at heights in all weather conditions.
EU citizenship (required to work freely in Germany).
Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: €23–€27 gross, depending on experience and qualifications.
Rotations: Flexible options (e.g., 3/1, 4/2, or 6/2).

Daily Allowance: €28/day (overnight stays) or €14/day (non-overnight).
Annual Leave Progression:
Year 1: 26 days
Year 2: 28 days
